Childs Bridge Traditional Cache
24_fan: Went to check on this cache and is not there. Lots of overgrowth and hard to get to the cache. We are not going to replace this one due to the bad overgrowth.

Located along the Taunton River, this is another in a series that can be accessed via canoe from the Taunton River.
The cache name comes from the name of the bridge that crosses the river nearby, replaced in 2002. Enter near the waterfront where the iron bridge and guardrail meet, there is evidence of a trailhead at that point, but the trail fades away pretty quickly. You can cross a small wooden bridge to get to the cache area a little faster and easier than bushwacking. The container is a small sized ammo box with the usual contents. This area appears to be newly named as a Wildlife Management Area and evidence of critters is all over the place. Please do not cross to the other side of the river as that is private property. As with all caches in wooded areas, please wear blaze orange during hunting season. There is also a nearby benchmark if you're interested in those, marking the boundary of Bridgewater and Halifax. Note: only takes about 5 mins to walk to so this is a quick cache. Childs Bridge is the big one on the road. The one that you cross over to get to the cache does not have a name.
