Geocache Description:

The cache is situated on a well signed grassy public footpath which is sandwiched between Diddington Brook and fenced off gravel workings, the path is a section of a popular 7 mile circular walk, which includes Paxton Pits nature reserve, Diddington village and part of the Ouse Valley way.

The small container holds a logbook and will accommodate geo-coins and very small travel bugs.
Please bring a pen/pencil to log your visit.

Diddington Brook, which runs into the river Ouse, rises near Long Stowe. During the 1960s, Diddington Brook was dammed to produce a reservoir, originally called Diddington Reservoir after the little brook whose valley it flooded, it was renamed Grafham Reservoir and subsequently Grafham Water. The reservoir is on a plateau with nearly all of its water being abstracted from the River Great Ouse at Offord and pumped up to form the 1500 acre (600 hectare) lake.

PLEASE KEEP TO THE OFFICIAL FOOTPATH, WHICH RUNS BESIDE THE BROOK AND CHAIN LINK FENCING, AND IS WELL SIGNPOSTED. DO NOT APPROACH FROM THE OTHER SIDE WHICH IS PRIVATE LAND. IF YOU APPROACH FROM THE CORRECT SIDE YOU DO NOT NEED TO CROSS THE BROOK TO GET TO THIS CACHE. Thank you for your support, we do not want to upset the local game keeper!
