A micro placed on the Scout Reservation
Back in 2005, there were 3 caches placed in Mataguay. Today only 1 has survived fires and years of torment by the scouts who stumbled upon them.
We placed this cache during Order of the Arrow Conclave, a meeting of 3 Lodges in the W4B Region. Order of the Arrow is the Honor Camping Association of the Boy Scouts, and are dedicated to preserving much of the indian culture and lore from days gone by.
Geocaching has had a large resurgance within the last year in the Scouting movement, and it only goes without saying since these land-navigators have gone electronic, they would need more diversions on home territory.
The scout camp is accessible if you check in with the ranger shack on the way. Mataguay #3 is up the road from this cache next to a secluded little lake at the top of the camp.
Kudos go out to SuperDave! for FTF!
