Geocache Description:

This cache placement is the result of a recent geo-adventure with dadndaughter. It was a geo-adventure of firsts. FTF on a particular tricky cache, first time riding in a tow truck and the first time we saw our lives flash before our eyes (not really, but it sounds good). Had it not been a particular successful geo-adventure the last bit may have bothered us a little bit more, but it was pretty scary all the same, as the photos attest.

A lug nut can be described as being a nut with one rounded or conical (tapered) end, which actually seems pretty close to describing most geocachers.

Lug nuts are used on steel and most aluminum style wheels. A set of lug nuts are typically used to secure a wheel to threaded wheel studs and thereby to a vehicle's axles. Apparently this small detail was lost on dadndaughter or he didn't read that far in his Toyota Tundra owner's manual, given all the big words, technical terms and such.

That said, dadndaughter has indicated as a result of this recent mishaps he will occasionally turn off his radio, listen for any odd bumps, grinds, thumps, etc. and check his nuts at least once a week.

Note: that there will continue to be a certain amount of bumping, grinding, squeaking, etc. as dadndaughter uses a Lowrance GPSr (steam driven), by choice, go figure!

The cache container is located close to a variety of road services and is an ammo box that has been camouflaged, it is winter friendly and it contains Stuff We All Get (SWAG), a newly created and appropriately themed travel bug (Your Nuts!) and a little something for the First to Find (FTF).

That’s all there is to it, go get the cache.
