Brua ble bygget rundt 1958 og ble fredet i 2008 sammen med 39 andre.
Brua går over en av Norges sterkeste strømmer som forbinder Trondheimsfjorden med Borgenfjorden.
I området er det plassert av kunst fra lokale kunstnere. Bla Nils Aas.
The bridge was built in 1958 and protected by law in 2008.
In the area there are sculptures by local artists.
