This place is known as Kjeåsen ( the Goat hillI ). Today it is one of the best known tourist attractions in western Norway. I myself read about it for the first time in a magazine in 1995, and visited the place with my family a few weeks later. Then, in August 1995, we climbed the 1,5 hour tour along the almost impossible path, crossing the very steep mountain side, climbing ladders, using the ropes to pull ourselves up on the steepest places. Until we end up on the farm with the most impressive view in the world.
Most of todays tourists "cheat", using a 5 km road that was made to establish electrical power lines in the areas behind Kjeåsen. The road is narrow, and half of it runs through a steep and dark tunnel, ending up just behind the farms.
Because of the narrow road, there are regulations. You can drive upwards every hour, and downwards every halv hour between 9AM(Up) and 5.30PM(down). The drive takes 10 minutes.
PS: The cache is not avaible in the winter.
