This is a NIGHT time ONLY cache. The posted coords take you to the trail-head. Parking is available at a roadside pull off. Be CAREFUL when crossing the roadside ditch, especially when it has been raining. It could be slick. The trail head will be tricky to find but you should be fine if you are patient and use your GPS to find the first night tack.
I have placed this cache on private property with permission. It is located near an area that local oldtimers know as Cherry Ridge.
***PARK ON THE ROAD-SIDE PULL OFF ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD ACROSS FROM THE TRAIL HEAD.*** Do NOT mess around the old school house, It is dangerous and our permission is for the trail and cache only.
There are stories of ghosts that haunt these woods and other mysterious creatures. One story is that there has been reportings by hunters that there is a black panther in this area. Another is that at night, you can hear school children playing in these woods. There is an long-time abandoned one room school house near the cache sight, perhaps the school children that haunt these woods are still at recess.
Once at the trailhead you will have to rely on a headlamp or flashlight or even both to follow the trail. I have marked it with fire tacks to keep you on the correct path. A grouping of 3 tacks is the cache location. Please use your gps to mark your trail so that you can make it back out to your car before daylight.
The container is an ammo box full of nice swag. There is a FTF prize that I think is awesome so good luck on getting it.
Take picture with you and the cache if you can. It would be great.
