Geocache Description:

Columbiana County Historic Cemetery cache. You can drive within a few yards of the location. Well maintained gravel driveway, and level grassy lawn.

In 1842, the old Hime's Church was built on this location. The land was donated by John Hime. The first interment in the cemetery was in 1842. In 1873, fire destroyed the old church, and the new chapel was built. Upon dedication, it was renamed Moultrie Chapel.

Memorial Day services have been held here continuously since 1868, by the West Township Memorial Association.

Cache container is slightly larger than a film canister, and covered with camo duct tape.
