Geocache Description:

This is a beautiful area and should be a very fun find! The terrain is quite difficult. Game trails most of the way but some steep hills and clifflike rock outcroppings. Could be very challenging in winter.

So this is our family’s first geocache. And I must say we’re quite proud of it! The hike up to it is accessible from the biking and jogging trail that runs along the game fence. PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL IN THIS AREA! Dangers include: rolling rocks, cliffs, loose rocks on game trails and rattlesnakes (we saw only one small one). We took our 4 and 7 year old kids and they did just great but we had to help them at several points and kept them very close to us due to the rattlers.

Elevation is 5,395 ft.

When you find the cache the name will make sense (but only once you’ve found it). The container is about the size of a cantaloupe. Please be very careful when you remove it and put it back as to not damage it.
