.15 walk from the parking lot and mostly downhill to the cache. A short bushwhack of about 50-100ft is required and the direct route may not be the best.
This cache is part of a two-cache series, all logable, and located in the Penobscot Narrows State Park, aka Fort Knox State Park. The first cache is a waterproof match container which contains the coordinates for the second cache in the park. Sign the log and look for the cache coordinates written on the Official Cache Notification page. DO NOT remove it. Please leave it with the log. These caches are placed with permission of the State Park supervisor so please obey all park rules. The caches are placed well away from the historical structures located here but please enjoy them while visiting the park. There is a fee for entrance to the park in the summer. You might also include a trip to the top of the tower too. The park is open from 9:00 a.m. to dusk. Do not attempt to find the cache when the park is closed.
