The cache is a few hundred feet off the road, up a shallow-to-moderate incline with some brush and trees to navigate around. It won't be difficult for experienced hikers or most kids over eight or nine. A bonus is seeing some great views of the valley.
My ancestors homesteaded the area immediately east of here in the 1800s. According to my 86-year-old father, they referred to the small canyon on the hillside as Rock Wall Hollow. If you pay close attention while on the hike to the cache, you might notice why.The cache is in an olive green ammo box.
