Not "THEM!", but "THEY!"
This seems to be the site of the old Vanalden Cave cache. I never made it up here while the cache was active, but those that did, now have a reason to revisit this cool spot.
Parking is on the south end of Vanalden Street. Note that it is posted as No Stopping 9PM-6AM. Take the trail south from the end of the street. At the fork at N34 07.971 W118 33.798, bear to the left and make your way to the caves at N34 07.907 W118 33.741. The local cave dwellers have left some interesting etchings. (California State Law prohibits defacing a natural cave that you do not own). Take the trail up on the west side of the caves and then head east to the cache. The trails on this part are there, but they get little use.
WARNING!
If you do this after dark, BRING A FLASHLIGHT! If not, you're likely to end up back in the caves with two broken legs.
