Geocache Description:

An after dark cache only in Bonita Lakes Park, Meridian MS, Park hours are from 5AM to 10PM. No addmission fee.

This is a cache intended to be located after dark. The walking distance from the start of the trail head to cache is 3/10ths of a mile. This one is located down a bike trail in Bonita Lakes park using reflectors to guide you to the cache. The trails are well marked and very little brush along trails. The park hours are from 5AM to 10PM. Please do this one between dusk dark and 10PM.

WHAT TO DO......
Bring s small fashlight, a small LED light will work just fine. Start at the Bonita Lakes Recreational Trail head (cache coordinates) marked with a one inch red relector at sign post. The trail is marked with very small 1/4"
red reflectors nailed to trees appx 7 feet off the ground. Keep on the trail and follow the red reflectors until you get to a group of white reflectors (in a diamond configuration). This is the point you will need to venture off the trail. Look for very small white reflectors to lead you to the "Blue Smiley" appx 200 feet off the trail. The blue smilley marks the end of the relectors and the cache is located within 20 feet of smiley. Cache is a metal ammo can. Please cover cache so it will not be spotted in the daytime.

After reading the logs I saw a few cachers had trouble finding thier way back to the trail, for those of you that are directionally challenged (myself included) I have added reflectors from the final cache location back to the bike trail to assist you in returning to your vehicle.

The theme of this cache is things that glow in the dark. Please leave only these type of items in the cache. The orginal contents include a log book and pencil, glow sticks, light up star balls, glow in the dark keyrings and two AA flashlights. Please leave the glow sticks and light balls for the kids to enjoy, I would like to see that each child gets one and has a joyful experience on their night time caching in the park. Let me know if the cache needs refilling with glow sticks, or take a few with you when you go. First to find gets a LED pen light.
