Geocache Description:

As this series of caches are close to water [streams and ponds] along it's whole length, I thought a fishy theme was in order. Those of you that have done my Owlbeech Ramble series will know what to expect.

This is a micro cache (35mm Flim Case) which contains only a log book and small pencil at the time of publishing.

One of a series of caches to take you on a semi-circular wander through another of Horsham’s hidden treasures, the woods and ponds near Hampers Lane [not far from Leechpool woods]. The caches are all just off the footpath, and none are too far from the beaten path. Parking can be found at N51 04 163 W000 17 852 [Leechpool Woods] or you might be able to park at the top of Hampers Lane where it joins Comptons Lane and Depot Road. There is extensive tree cover and GPSr reception may be patchy!

In this caches case, GPSr reception is very poor, hence the rather specific hint [and the difficulty assigned]. The new co-ords were taken using both a Garmin Legend Hcx with WAAS/EGNOS enabled and a Garmin GPSmap 60C which is not as sensitive.

The woodland scene is ever changing through the seasons providing year round interest. The ponds and streams along this walk are used by lots of wildlife.

You will also pass by ST LEONARD'S PARK PONDS which are Sites of Special Scientific Interest [SSSI] as they are rather unique dry ponds that play home to some rather unique flora and fauna.

When you get to the end, you can either reverse your travel or simply walk straight down Hampers Lane itself.

The series consists of caches ranging in size from Micro caches which contain nothing but a log book and a small pencil to Small/Medium caches which contain a log book, pencil, sharpener, pen and are able to contain geocoins, travel bugs and small/medium swaps.

You may require some stealth as this is an area used by children and dog walkers, so beware of muggles!

This cache is hidden a short way off of the main footpath [not the road], not too far from the start of the footpath where it meets Hampers Lane.

Please ensure that you put it back in exactly the same place and way and replace any camouflage used to ensure that it can't be seen, thanks!
