Geocache Description:

These three caches in Fish Canyon are the first wave of some backcountry hides I had planned for the area. There will be three or four more if I ever get back up here.
Take the Templin Hwy exit off Interstate 5, Templin Hwy ends at a gate in a couple of miles. Park there.

Because I started late, I brought a bike so I could get back faster, but it was so hot after only a mile into the trip that I decided to come back to this area and sit under a tree until the sun got low enough to provide some shade going up Fish Canyon. I had never been here before and didn’t know what lay ahead. On my way in I passed a couple of hikers sitting in the shade. The looked like they’d been hit by a truck. It was easily 100 degrees.

So I went back and sat out the Sun. Well I sat for a while, got bored and decided to hide a cache.

This one’s a small metal lunchbox up in a tree. You have to climb on top of the boulder to reach it but you should be able to spot it from the ground. I’ll rate this one a 3.5 because you have to climb, but it’s not that hard.
