5 of 7
We took off today with the intentions of only placing caches. This is number 5 of 7. We were looking for a good place to stash an ammo can near the Magic Well. We wandered down this 2 track road to a cattle trough and decided it needed a cache here. On the way in the good eyes spotted a buck antelope leaving the area. She snapped a couple of pictures of course. While we were getting the cache ready the quietbreeze carried over a different sound. It was the wheez warning of the female antelope standing on the ridge. There was a tense standoff for several minutes as she huffed at us and tried to find her mate. Finally she broke across the road and we assume rejoined him. Thus the cache name.
This is a small plastic container with some trade items. There is really nothing special here except our memories of the day. Make sure you bring water and watch for local denizens both fleeting and fanged.
