Whilst at
the site of Podmore’s Pool take a while looking for the frogs.
At the time of placing the cache, there were thousands of
tadpoles at the edges of the pond making the water look very
black. Over the coming weeks there should be thousands of tiny
frogs hopping around the place so please be very careful when
walking as you don’t want little squashed ones on your Shoes.!
Podmore Woods is located on the edge of Bateswood Country and
Bateswood Nature Reserve. The Nature Reserve is managed by
Staffordshire Wildlife Trust and consists of 61 acres of grassland
and pools. Bateswood Country Park is a former opencast mining site
and is now a nature reserve managed for recreation and conservation
by Newcastle-under-Lyme council, with lakeside walks.
Now for the cache. You will need to visit all 8 stages of the
circular walk to get clues.
Once you have all the clues you will need to complete the
following puzzle which will give you the co-ords for the final
cache.
