Geocache Description:

Get ready to climb

Sadly this cache has been stolen by some?? no words to describe such a person. It is no wonder the world is so messed up, with people as pathetic as this coward walking around. I'm guessing he wanted the ammo box for his child porn collection.

This cache is located north of Elliot Lake, ON. Parking can be accesed from HWY 639 at Cobre Lake hiking trail. Look for the hiking trail symbol as you approach the co-ordinates. The road will take you back to Cobre Lake where you can park and pick up the trail.

From the parking area to the cache is approximately 1.6k. The first 1k is an easy hike over a nice if a little rough trail. At this point the trail forks. A directional sign points out the various ways to go. The quickest and by far shortest way to the cache is to follow the trail to Belvedere Lookout. If however a great day of hiking is what you are looking for then you should consider following the Cobre Lake trail. This is 11 k of beautiful and challenging trails. There are old mines and ice caves if you can find them. Small secluded beaches are just perfect for a quiet swim on a hot day. Either way will lead to the cache. Be prepared for a major climb whichever way you go.

Look for this one near the very top of a 533m hill. There is no easy way to get to it. We took the cache up by the short route, up to the Belvedere lookout. The trail starts out deceptively with a slight incline and a relatively smooth surface. It doesn't last. We have given this a 5 terrain for a reason. The trail is extremely steep and incredibly rocky in spots. The last 50 feet are an all out climb. Make sure to wear decent shoes as you are going to need them. At the top take a rest, sign the guest book, and enjoy the tremendous view. When you catch your breath you can snoop around for the cache, it shouldn't be too difficult to find.

Again if you are looking for a hike after finding the cache you can continue on the trail and hike the Cobre Lake trail from the other direction. If you do decide to hike from either direction give yourself at least 3-5 hours to complete the whole thing.
