Access is excellent when there is not snow on the ground. Just a few steps off a good dirt road.
This cache is at the site of the Bigelow Bridge which is a metal/steel bridge that spans the McCloud River. It is another cache that can be found on the McCloud River Loop. Just a 1/4 of a mile back from the hide is Lakin Dam, a very beautiful spot that has Wildlife Viewing, fishing and picnic tables. Give it a whirl while in the area, I think you will enjoy the beauty of the area.
