Korytnica - mrtve kúpele/dead spa

Korytnické minerálne pramene sadrovej, zemito-železnatej a uhlicitej vody, boli známe už od 16. storocia. Kúpelná osada vznikla v 19. storocí. Liecia sa tu choroby žalúdocné, crevné a choroby pecene.
Prvé liecebné domy tu boli postavené v roku 1824. Po dvoch velkých požiaroch v roku 1911 a 1921 bola väcšia cast kúpelov úplne znicená. Neskôr bol kúpelný komlex znovu zrekonštruovaný. Koncom 18. storocia tu boli pokusy o dobývanie zlata a sú tu zasypané štôlne.
V 2.svetovej vojne po obsadení Ružomberka povstaleckými vojskami bola v kúpelnej budove Hygia umiestnená vojenská nemocnica.
Kúpele Korytnica sa nachádzajú v Národnom parku Nízke Tatry pod vrchom Prašivá, 24 km od Ružomberka a 30 km od Banskej Bystrice.

Ide o velmi jednoduchu a nenarocnu multinu. Jej uvodne súradnice vás privedú k informacnej tabuli s mapkou Korytnice. Jednotlivé objekty sú ocíslované. Všimnite si císla pramenov, správna je ta stará orintačná tabuľa

The spa Korytnica is situated in the protected area of the Low Tatras National Park (NAPANT) at the northern slope of the Prašivá peak, 24 km in the east from Ružomberok and 30 km from Banská Bystrica. You can find here mineral springs of plaster, ferric and carbonic water that were known already in the 16-th century. The spa settlement was founded in the 19-th century. Gastric, casing, liver diseases are still healed here.
By the end of the 18-th century some attempts were made to mine gold in the surroundings. Swamped old mines can still be found. Water that was needed for mining industry was taken from the village Pusté to the village Špania Dolina through an elevated duct.
The spa building Hygia was transformed into a military hospital after the liberation of the Ružomberok city during the World War II.
