Trilogy Falls Cache
Just a good ol' fashioned ammo can in the woods...
...now go find it!
First, you need to make your way to the trailhead that I have listed below. You can get there one of three ways. You could ride your bicycle from Connellsville via the Yough River Trail section of the Great Allegheny Passage. A very nice scenic ride, which is actually the way I went when I placed this cache. Or, you could pedal your way down from Ohiopyle on the same trail, also a very scenic ride. Or, hehe, you can access the bike trail by traveling down the very rough, very bumpy road to Camp Carmel. The choice is yours. But once you get there, please take your time and enjoy all that there is to see as you make your way to the cache. Your first stop will more than likely be Trilogy Falls (pictured above). A great place to cool off in the summer, and absolutely beautiful in the winter. Next, I suggest you travel upsteam just a little and check out the solid stone creekbed. This has always amazed me. I love the way the water flows over these rocks. I just always thought it was cool!
Now, it's time to continue on up along Morgan Run to find this cache! The trail does become less obvious as you proceed, but it is still an easy hike. The idea of this cache wasn't to be sneaky and make it hard to find, it was placed here to get you out of the house and into the woods to enjoy the sights. Perhaps even give you a reason to break out the bike and hit the trail. I know it was an enjoyable trip up the trail for me when I placed this cache! I've posted a few pictures that I took that day below.
