Beavers? Here? This is in the City! Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Paulie: Cache is now missing and is also now on private land as the Church has been torn down and the land is for sale, so I am archiving it.

Geocache Description:

Cache is down a fairly steep if not long slope with lots of deadfall.

This cache is placed behind a church where I am a Boy Scout and Cub leader. Some of our Cubs noticed quite a few trees at the back of the property were laying on the ground one night, so we went to investigate and realized they were actually chewed down by a colony of beavers (the furry ones, not our beaver colony). The trees all seem to be Poplar trees, so I assume this colony has a sweet tooth for Poplar. If you are quiet you may even be able to see them swimming in the small inlet of Lake Petitcodiac very near the cache site. You may also be able to spot Bald Eagles soaring overhead, or even Deer! (Yes this is in the City limits!)
