We happened upon this area while just looking around the Raco back roads. I'm not sure what used to be here, but someone poured a lot of cement here for something, quite a while ago. There are a lot of concrete foundations nearby, and all the sand berms plowed every 100 yards or so to both directions from here leads me to think this is an abandoned runway dating before the current Raco runway facility. If anyone has information on this area, post it here and let us know. This seems to be a popular area with quads and 4x4's. I found out this was a training area for the Army Post at Ft. Brady in the Soo. The Wall was used as a training area for throwing hand grenades. All the plowed furrows were used for infantry rifle practice. As of 7/15/2022 we replaced the cache a bit away from where the original one was. (It's gone missing) Now it's a bit away from the popular trail and it is now a regular size cache.
