Geocache Description:

Small cemetery on a poorly maintained back road. Cache container is a good-sized rectangular lock and lock.

The tiny hamlet of Tyre is just down the road from this cemetery, and once had a train station, a store, and a bar. Now nothing is left save a few lonesome houses and a ragged set of train tracks. The next village to the north was Sidon, now known as Ubly. The early settlers named the towns for villages mentioned in the Bible, but the story goes that the postmaster of Sidon didn't like the name, and changed it to reflect his home village in England, Ubley.

If you look west and a little north of the cache location, you will find a tombstone or two from the "Dying Sparlings of Ubly". This interesting and tragic story has been part of local lore for many years, and is now the subject of a book, "The Thumb Pointed Fingers". Just how did all the members of the family die, one by one, over several years?
As always, search only from dawn to dusk. Please replace cache exactly as found and make sure that it is well covered. Full sized caches like this one are more vulnerable to muggles.
