This is the central cache of the new Delphi Trails series of caches. Located in Delphi, IN, these caches help you explore the wonderful public trail system in Delphi.

Founded in 1974, Carroll County Wabash & Erie Canal Inc. is dedicated to the preservation of the three mile stretch of historic man-made waterway located in Delphi, Indiana. This is the only publicly accessible place remaining in the state where the historic Wabash & Erie canal is water-filled. This cache highlights the Canal Interpretive Center. This center is a great place to spend the afternoon with your family. The interactive exhibits highlighting the history of the Wabash & Erie Canal tell us the fascinating story in an entertaining way. The exhibits walk through the history of the canal, from the Irish workers who built it to the people who traveled its waters. Canal boats and draft mules, businessmen and boat captains, good times and bad times are all remembered here.
