LLKD-70 Eye
Can See You
Had not been to Garvies Point since
1968. Now back twice in two weeks. Spent a great
day down by the water making clay pots, picking up sea glass and playing with
fiddler crabs. Went into the museum where my daughter
did the geological scavenger hunt. Had a picnic lunch
and then headed off to the trails.
Found this spot
toward the end of our adventure. The cache is a small Snap
and Lock on the ground behind a tree that looks from the trail like
a darning needle with a large eye. While most of the area
right off trail is overgrown, the cache is in a tiny area mostly
clear of vegetation. Please rehide better than you find
it.
The museum at
Garvies Point is a wonderful place to take the kids. Clay
deposits are at the surface down by the waters edge. There is
no charge for parking and walking the preserve. There is a
charge for the museum.
