First in the series of four related caches
One of the reasons we enjoy caching is seeing areas we would never see otherwise. When we lived in the Willamette Valley, it seemed that some cachers would just go out and drive all the back roads in the woods and when the came to a dead end, like at a log landing, they would put out a cache. We have seen a lot of the woods and some wonderful views hunting for these caches.
Well, now we are in Central Oregon and I am sure some of the caches around here are put out in a similar manner. I decided to take a drive in an area that didn’t have any caches just to see what I could see. The result of this drive is a series of 4 caches which have as the only contents a series of small mementoes we picked up on our trip to Mexico. Find all 4 in the series to get one of each in the series.
There are 20 mementoes in each cache for the first 20 finders if they chose to take one. I would ask that each cacher (or cacher group) only take one from each cache so the first 20 finders will each have an opportunity to get one. Happy Caching.
NOTES
1. Please bring your own writing stick
2. Because of the quality of the roads in certain areas (rocky), you should plan on having a high-clearance vehicle with 4X4 or an OHV to get to the caches. I drove our Chevy S-10 Pickup to place the caches.
Update 2/4/13 - Have upped the terrain rating as the designation of this area as part of the Cline Butte Recreation area has closed some of the vehicle access to the area and therefore this hike could be significantly longer than when it was placed. Happy Caching
