Geocache Description:

A beautiful cache site, worth the ride on well maintained logging roads.

Stone and Bog River Cache

Stone Dam is a natural rock formation on the Bog River in Eastbrook. The best access point is via the Stone Dam Road near Molasses Pond. An unpaved logging road to the dam location is accessible by most vehicles. Balancing rock is an enormous boulder beside the dam. If you push on the rock just right, you can actually rock it.

If entering from Molasses Pond, keep left at 44*42.99N, 068*14.738W. For a nice off-road challenge, keep right(ATV’s and dirt bikes only!). Trucks will scratch their paint.

This cache location is in a working forest. The landowner generously shares his land, but remember it is his livelihood:
•Logging trucks and equipment have the right of way, period.
•Stay clear of active logging areas and park your vehicle well off the side of the road.
•Share the road and drive slow. Stone Dam is popular with ATV’s, dirt bikes, and mountain bikes.

Happy caching!
