Wolves That Never Sleep Multi-Cache
Cache Effect: Archiving at the request of Scouts Canada.
There is signage at the entrance to Camp Impeesa that state that "Only registered scouting members and/or registered groups staying in the camp may access the property."
This means the caches are no longer available to all geocachers and as such need to be archived.
Please make arrangements to have your cache container removed so that it doesn't become geo-litter.
Thanks for your understanding!

The posted coordinates put you just off the gravel road inside of a high-usage area. The coordinates to the second and final waypoint are found on an object left as a tribute to Scout Heroes at this first location. They will send you to a less conspicuous area up a steep hill for the cache. The ammo box cache contains a logbook, writing instrument, and badges for trade. While logging your visit to this cache, please share a story of one of your Scout Heroes.
Lord Baden-Powell, founder of the Scout Movement, was given many tribal nicknames during his time in Africa. Among them came one from the Matabele – IMPEESA. It meant ‘the beast that does not sleep, but walks about at night.’ During the siege of Mafeking during the Boer War (1899-1900) Baden-Powell became a National Hero to his native Britains. He defended the city of Mafeking from four times as many Boers as he had soldiers. Victory came in part because of Powell’s development of a cadet corps of 12 to 15 year old boys which stood guard, delivered messages, helped in the hospitals, etc… a predecessor to modern day Scouts. It was during this siege that the more common English translation of Impeesa took root – ‘the Wolf that never sleeps.’ This translation was indicative of Powell’s reputation as a watchful military scout.
As the name suggests, this cache is a dedication to the many Scout Heroes that put in long and loving, watchful hours for untold numbers of Scouts. They are ‘the wolves that never sleep.’ As noted above, this cache is a BADGE TRADE cache. We would also like to use the cache to share Scout Hero legacies. When you log in your visit to the cache on geocaching.com, please share your 'Scout Hero' story. Don’t forget to read other’s entries as well.
In keeping with the theme of Scout heroes, we have created this cache in honor of Dr. Neldon Hatch, who has embodied the values of Scouting in both his Scouting endeavours as well as through out his career with the Westwind School Division #74. For more details on Neldon Hatch see the first log entry of this cache.
Happy hunting, and don’t forget to enjoy the scenery from atop the hill.
