This cache is a camo container, tucked away in what used to be one of my old stomping grounds as a kid. It’s a great little oasis and sort of a secret!
Sometimes the grass and brush are not mowed for weeks, so be prepared to wade through some light greenery. The ground can get muddy at times as well. But the fiercest protector of the cache is the tree cover - it's been known to throw off many a great cacher's GPSr!
**Have no fear; the wiliest of these tall, leafy warriors has been slain - and underneath him lies the precious cache.**
There are three ways you can access the cache. My original instructions were to park at N 45° 26.952 W 122° 44.659, which is a mini-park next to the area where the cache is hidden. Well, it turns out that mini-park is private property, so don't go there!
Instead, you can access the cache via an unmarked "trailhead" on SW 64th Drive, which is around N 45° 26.960 W 122° 44.539. It will put you “in the middle” of Kimberly and Henri, two guard doggies. Both dogs are fenced—but they might ruin your cover. But no worries—people come by from time to time to stroll through this area either by themselves or with their own doggies.
There isn't much room for big items, so if you’d like to trade items, smaller swag is best.
Thanks and I hope you enjoy my first hide!
Congrats to SuperDiggers for the FTF!
