AS USUAL, THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE ABOVE COORDINATES!

Murrieta, the "gem of the valley", spent from 1884 to 1924 fighting with postal officials until the extra "t" was removed from the postmark. Residents have been explaining ever since that Murrieta and neighboring Murrieta Hot Springs were named after the pioneer and lawman, Juan Murrieta, not the infamous lawbreaker and bandit, Joaquin Murietta.
