Three Pines ...er, Stumps! Traditional Cache
batch218: I'm afraid the cache container is no longer where I placed it. I'll seek another location in the general vicinity. Best Regards ... Batch218

A small cache container about 120-feet off a paved San Andreas trail section of the Crystal Springs Trail system. You will need to leave the paved trail to reach the cache.
The Crystal Springs Trail system consists of a number of trail segments, some paved and some unpaved. This San Andreas trail section extends from San Bruno Avenue on the north to Hillcrest Blvd. on the south where it connects to the Sawyer Camp Trail. Great views of San Andreas Lake can be seen from the San Andreas trail, but if you're not familiar with the area, come prepared for cool westerly winds and foggy conditions, even during the summer. Closest parking (space limited) to the cache location is right along Skyline Blvd., south of San Bruno Ave., at a Crystal Springs Trail entrance point approximately N 37 36.701, W 122 26.146. If you park here, when departing you will need to continue south on the Skyline ramp to Hwy 280, with your "turn around" point being the Larkspur Drive (Millbrae) exit. You cannot make a safe/legal U-turn back along Skyline Blvd. from the parking area.
