Geocache Description:

Laurelville purchased an additional 300 acres in the fall of 2007 which included Pine Run. Depending on how you approach ground zero it will be at least a 4 star terrain rating and possibly higher with some bushwhacking. Be VERY CAREFUL during high water and don't be afraid to go home and come back when the water is lower.

Pine Run is a tributary to Jacob's Creek and eventually the Youghiogheny River which flows north to Pittsburgh where it joins the Monongahela River and then the Allegheny River to form the Ohio River which joins the Mississippi that flows all the way to the Gulf of Mexico. It's exciting to think that the water that originates on Laurelville's property has a part in the health and wealth of so many people and places. This just makes me more aware of how important keeping our streams clean and free of pollutants is.

This is a private camp, but geocachers are welcomed guests. All we ask is that you check-in at the office before you begin your hunt.
