Woodlands Safari Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Team Ginger: Gone indeed!!! My fake rock is there, but container is MIA.
The security was upgraded in this office park.. it is now too much of a mission to get in without a 'valid' reason.
I am not going to put geocachers at risk of being put in a difficult position with the security.
Pity - this was one of my favourites!!

Geocache Description:

This cache was originally placed for the "Keepers of the Cache" Event - hosted by CrystalFairy, Team Ginger & Sh0w Me The Cache.

The given coordinates brings you one of the entrances of an office park in Woodmead (this is the only entrance that is open on weekends).
When arriving at the gate, you'll be given an access card you'll need to use when leaving again.
If asked, say you are going to take a stroll in the park and do some game/bird viewing.

Park at the following location: S26 03.718 E28 05.142 (which is outside Units 13 & 14)

Walk to a gate located at: S26 03.713 E28 05.126
Be sure you close the gate behind you - there are WILD animals in this area. Please behave appropriately and remember that WILD animals can be dangerous. There is quite a variety of animals found here – they are fairly used to humans but always take care. Stay on the pathways provided where possible! Take your camera along if you want to take some wildlife photos while visiting.

Waypoint 1: S26 03.773 E28 04.944
At this location you will find an interesting structure called home by a flock of animals. These animals live in herds of up to 80 individuals. Herds are subdivided into smaller flocks consisting of a few families and headed by an adult male. They spend most of their time resting in large huddles or basking alone. These behaviours probably serve to help regulate body temperature.
What is the common name (use the singular) of the animal living in this structure? It is officially known as the ‘Rock Hyrax’, but I’m looking for the South African given name for it. _ _ _ _ _ _ (6 letters)

Waypoint 2: S26 03.714 E28 04.990
At this location you will find a lapa overlooking a lovely dam. I’ve seen a Dad bring his boys here for some fishing and I’m sure one would see many bird species if spending some time here too. There is a solitary unique number inside this lapa. Write it down. _ _ (2 digits)

In order to find the final cache, do the following:

The cache is located at S26 03.# E28 05.?

If A = 1 and B = 2 and C = 3 etc. counting positions of letters in the alphabet, work out the final coordinates of this cache.

# = Take the sum of the number values of all the letters in the name of the animal recorded at WP1. Switch the two numbers in this total around and insert the number one (1) in the middle.

? = the number found at WP2 plus 2. Remember this must be represented as a three digit value in your coordinates.
