Geocache Description:

I was fortunate enough to be able to plan a vacation around going to Sacramento for Geowoodstock 6. So I brought back some geo-swag from the event for other to get a taste of California. This cache is an easy hike. Located in Bernhiem Forest. Begin at the Rock Run Trailhead. Park is free on the weekdays and there is a $5 fee on the weekends. Park closes at sunset.

Better Half Shell and I recently returned from a great trip to California. During our trip we went through 3 states and visited 1 national park and 1 national monument. To include a trip to Hover Dam and a very enjoyable trip to the Yosemite National Park. We went from the extremes of 108 degree outside of Las Vegas to a snow storm in the mountains above Lake Tahoe.

The highlight of Geowoodstock for us was caching in the small town of Wheatland where the normal population is just over 2000 but during GW6 it swelled to 5000 geo-nuts who could not be missed at every micro and roadside point of interest.
