Geocache Description:

This place was one of the spots my friend Bill showed me long ago. Since Bill's death in December of 2009, I am determined to keep as many "Bill" caches active as possible.

Kelly's Station was once a bustling place with a railroad stop, blacksmith shop, general store, post office, cheese factory, and sawmill. The Railroad was called "the skunk", but it was the Delaware and Hudson Railway. The tunnel was built in 1885. Make sure you honk your horn when driving through. Cache is nearby but no where near the elevated railroad tracks. You'd have to be crazy to climb that hill. Head toward the water but not into it.

Update October 10, 2010- Since I do not like caches that people can't find, I have completely changed the cache at this location. It is now a good sized spice container; big enough for a logbook, pencil and small items. Perhaps even a geocoin or small travel bug. Also because snakes have been spotted here, it's best to keep one eye on the ground but the cache is hidden in a place that no snake around here could get to it. Squirrels are a different story though.

Good Luck!
