Freaky Tiki Five, TheCacheMeow and I teamed up to place this Lord of The Rings themed multi-cache as a tribute to the late Gandalf II.
Six waypoints including the final. It took us about 2 hours to place.
Final is a camouflaged 50cal ammo box.
Begin your adventure at Q'melin ("Ka Mee Lin") park. There may be a parking fee, or park on the street and walk in.
I suggest following the Old Wagon trail to the spur trail marked Lower Fifth Canyon, bearing left at N 47° 42.268 W 116° 57.811.
There is no need to go beyond any no trespassing signs.
Your journey will take you off-trail for much of the way. Be cautious of your steps when the conditions are wet.
Good route-finding skills are a plus. So are good footwear and long pants!
Not for little kids, and take time to be safe - the shortest way between two points is not always the best.
Keep in mind that the cache theme is The Lord of The Rings, it may help if you have seen the movies or read the books.
