There are some very nice places just off the beaten track in Bali.
This is one of them that is very close to the best-known beach in
the world probably - Kuta Beach. The island is a huge draw to
surfers, and lives up to it's fame by producing top surfing
year-round. There are inexpensive places to eat and sleep, adding
to the draw.

You can also enter from the area of Kuta Beach by walking on the
brick pathway along the ocean.
On the beach portion of this quiet little park, the locals tell
me that the local cremations are carried out. You will see the
remains of funeral pyres burned and sitting around the beach area.
This is the way the Hindu's believe they are transported into the
next life. A symbol of a bull is most often used on these pyres.
The richer you are, the bigger the pyre, and the more "stuff" you
can take with you.

heavy tree cover plays around with your GPS.
Across the road from giant's sling,
At nearby ChiChi's talk.
Enter between two shaggy trees,
Down quiet lane do walk.
Be sure to count the sentries stout,
Upon the wire-trimmed wall.
At sentry number twenty-two,
Do pause and look around.
Behind a rock loose in the wall,
Hides wanted cache so small.
