Old-school State Game Lands
I’ve known these Game Lands were there for years, but never took the time to check them out. Found the entrance on a lunch time drive through the countryside. They are well off the beaten path and very quiet. I spotted tons of wildlife on my short forays there including deer, raccoons, rabbits, tons of birds and one very nervous turtle. You can drive right to the end of the road and the cache is a little over a tenth of a mile from parking. Or, for a special treat, park at the entrance to the game lands and take a .60 mile walk (one way) along the road and admire the nearly pristine wilderness. Please remember that these are State Game Lands and be sure to wear your orange.
Container is a camouflaged Lock and Lock that is large enough to hold coins and most travel bugs. Started out with a variety of swag, so there should be something for everyone. It is well-hidden and there are no trails once you leave the road. Terrain is pretty rugged, but not very steep and easily passable. I raised the difficulty a bit because the tree cover is pretty thick and satellite reception could be tricky. Enjoy!!
