The GGA would like to invite everyone far and near to come out
and join us for our fall meeting at Fort Mountain state park
located in the beautiful North Ga. mountains. A lunch of hamburgers
and hotdogs will be provided for everyone attending between 12:30
and 2:00, and the meeting will follow between 2:00 and 4:00 P.M.
Please let us know how many will be in your party. A $3.00 parking
fee is required at this state park. Be sure to bring your gps and
there will be a special activity just for the kids.
Also, we are very pleased to have the Park's naturalist, Ruby
Mitchell, come speak to us about the history of the area.
The numerous activities include: boat rental, minature golf,
swimming, camping, a playground for the kids, and excellent hiking
and caching opportunities. There are bike and horse trails as well
as hiking trails available. For more info visit the park website at
