Geocache Description:

The CITO will take place along the western portion of the north jetty, beyond the log salvage operation. This site has developed into a small sand dune ecosystem where important plant species and over 300 bird species are found.

This CITO is part of The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup, an initiative of the Vancouver Aquarium to get locals outside and cleaning up their community's shorelines.

On Sunday, 21st the cleanup orientation will begin at 11:00AM at the listed coordinates. I recommend arriving at the parking lot at 10:30 to allow time for the 1.6 walk.

What Should I Bring?
Work-gloves/Garden-gloves (Thin latex gloves will be available)
Hat
Jacket/Windbreaker
Proper footwear (Hiking shoes, boots)
Water (A bottled watter case will be available for the forgetful)
Snacks
Your "I can find it!" geocaching attitude
Coordinates for GC13VDV & GC6DF
And a prize donation if you should so choose (thanks to BCGA for theirs)

One should be prepared to do a fair bit of walking and work

Hope to see everyone come out for a great day.

In the evening an event is being hosted at Sharky's restaurant in Ladner. Consider this the impromptu place to gather and reminisce about your CITO days. GC1G1MN
