The city wells cover an area from Riverside Dr., North to the
Chippewa River and East to the airport. Everything in between are
the well fields and are open to the public for foot and bike
travel. The mazes of trails are an ideal place to take a nice walk
in the woods, walk the dog or bike around the trails. If walking
I'd recommend staying on the well defined foot paths as city trucks
may occassionally drive around inspecting the well stations. Foot
trails will lead you within 50 feet of the cache.
Oh yeah, and if you run across of bunch of kids running in blue,
purple, green or red jerseys, there's probably a cross country meet
going on, so maybe search for it a different day! The local schools
use this area for meets. Enjoy the wells!
