Bolton Valley is on privately owned land and
we have permission to place this cache as part of a
CITO in June 2008. Please be
mindful of geocaching etiquette. The permanence of this cache
will depend on how respectful cachers are of the
property.
This cache can
be accessed off of the Jake trail on Bolton Valley property. This
section of trails is part of the Catamount ski trail that spans the
length of Vermont. The Catamount Trail Association manages and
protects the 300 mile trail system.
Bring your
camera for this one. The first stage is near a waterfall that runs
over a very large glacier erratic and under another big one on top
of it. On a hot day, there is enough room to cool off in the pool
of water under the falls. You may want to stop here on your way
back. It is a great spot for a picnic lunch.
