The cache is located in Fallkill Park in Hyde Park, NY.
Fallkill Park was once owned by Hudson River Psychiatric Center and the lake used for ice production. In 1968 the park opened as a public beach but was closed in 1974. Today, the area is primarily used for fishing. Although the area is in need of some CITO, I found this underdeveloped park full of potential.
Park at the gate located on Bennett Rd. for driest access to the cache. You should be able to follow an old road and/or footpath until the last 200 feet which requires bushwhacking. The cache can also be accessed through a parking area off Creek Road near the dam but you will have to cross the creek.
The final cache location is not suitable for children.
The cache container is a regular sized ammo can stocked with fish related items.
