Geocache Description:

A mystery cache set up by fellow geocachers. Since there's no improving the theme, the Morgan's Marauders are adopting it.

Part of the Col. Morgan Series.

Colonel Morgan Morgan, (born in Wales in 1688, died at Bunker Hill, West Virginia in 1766) and related to the infamous geocachers, Morgan's Marauders, founded the first permanent white settlement on Mill Creek in Berkeley County in what is now West Virginia sometime between 1726 and 1731.

He was also a clergyman in the Anglican faith and is credited with building the first church in West Virginia.

He had eight children with his wife Catherine Garretson. One son, Zackquill Morgan, later founded Morgantown, West Virginia.

He is buried at Bunker Hill.

Francis Harrison Pierpont, governor of Virginia and later West Virginia, was a descendant of Morgan Morgan. Morgan Morgan's father, Charles Morgan, was a descendant of Roman Emperor Constantine who legalized Christianity. Morgan is also descended from William the Conqueror.

He is also a distant cousin of Daniel Boone.

The above coordinates will take you to a roadside marker memorializing Col. Morgan Morgan. Using numbers gleaned from it and its metal counterpoint standing adjacent you will find the coordinates to the final cache location.

The final cache container may be found at the following coordinates:

N 39* AB.CCA W 078* BD.CEC

Where-

Using the stone monument:

A = The digit denoting the number of miles west of this monument that Col. Morgan and his wife established the first settlement within the present boundaries of West Virginia.

B = The final digit in the size of the tract of land (in acres) that made up the settlement.

C = The first digit in the size of the tract of land (in acres) that made up the settlement.

Using the metal roadside sign:

D = The third digit in the year that Col. Morgan Morgan established his home in Bunker Hill before.

E = The sum of the second digit in the year that Col. Morgan Morgan established his home in Bunker Hill before added to the fourth digit in the year that Col. Morgan Morgan established his home in Bunker Hill before.

The final cache container you seek contains nothing more than a stash note and a few logsheets, but no room for an inkwell and quill, so BYOP.
