This is a fairly easy cache. It is being started and placed by the Fairy Ballerina Penguins of DOOM!! as they graduate from Woodland Middle School into the greatness that is Lake City High School. The nearby road is busy, so watch out for little ones.
This is our first cache to have set up, and it’s all thanks to a drawing prize we won at WWFM III: Frozen in Time at Manito (GC1AYRH). The three of us had just ‘graduated’ from Woodland Middle School, home of the Grizzlies, and are now moving on to Lake City High School, home of the Timber Wolves. We are all excited about moving up, and below are each of the Penguins comments about what they think the transitions are going to be like.
This is B(1). I’ve known M and B(2) since first grade, and hopefully, as our lives bring us further into the world of high school, we will all still be as close as sisters, and possibly closer. As great as high school sounds, I’m going to miss Woodland Middle School, and especially the music classes. You can’t beat having jazz band with Mr. Sumner, and orchestra with this years teacher Mrs. Phillips, all in one day. But next year, I’ll be able to say the same about the advanced orchestra and hopefully, with some luck, jazz band as well. I think my dream of becoming a professional musician will come true someday. Lake City High School is just about the best school in the Northwest and we’re fortunate enough to go there, especially since most of our friends are moving onto that school as well. I hope we all have the best time at high school!
First of all, I'm M. I've always disliked middle school. So I'm not going to ramble on about what wonderful teachers there are and how much I love it, because that would be a total lie. I would probably have to point out the fact that some of the teachers didn't like me because they thought I would be trouble because I'm just a punk/scene girl. It will probably only get worse, but I'm still looking forward to trying to get on the teachers good sides. I'm looking forward to all the art and music classes that I will be taking, because those two things are my passions. Other then that, the only thing that I'll be looking forward to in high school is hanging out with my friends, especially my two dorky friends B(1) and B(2).
Hey, I’m B(2). Woodland was an eventful three years of my life. It is there that I launched off a cannon in our Civil War reenactment, went camping at the infamous Trail Creek, and even managed to get bumped by a car in the parking lot one day. It was a place where the kids could be kids, or at least most of the time. I’m going to miss some of those totally awesome teachers and their classes, but I’m looking forward to trying my luck at the new ones. The ones I’m really thrilled about are most definitely my art classes! Anything related to art I love, so it’s exciting to be able spend a couple hours doing nothing but stuff related to it. And yes, this includes a music class. I can’t wait to see what unfolds in our lives these next four years at Lake City.
This cache is a long, rectangular lock-a-lid container marked with a geocache sticker on the top. It is in a very high muggle area, so be wary. Inside there is a log book, two pens (incase one of them runs out of ink), and a few pieces of swag courtesy of the local dollar store. Watch your kids if you have little ones since this is so close to a highly active road; we don’t want any accidents. Happy caching and go T-wolves!
Oh, and you might want to bring some gloves. The bushes can be pokey and we wouldn't want anyone to get hurt.
