Thermodynamics. It's the Law. Obey it. Embrace it.
One of the Laws of Thermodynamics, in simple terms, is an expression of the fact that over time, differences in temperature tend to even out. This tends to be done at the molecular level, with the energy of faster moving molecules being transferred to slower moving molecules, thus is seems as if heat is moving through a barrier to the other side. This process can be slowed, depending upon the makeup of the barrier involved.
A short hike from parking, good for kids if wearing long pants, as there are some areas of poison ivy, etc, to watch out for. Otherwise, not really bushwacking, though there is no regular path, either. Park at parking waypoint. This was the final stage of the original Thermodynamics - It's the Law cache.
