Our first hide, so we thought it should be a good one. This one is in celebration of the first annual National Get Outdoors Day. We hope it inspires, figuratively and literally. We started this with the intent of having something for each person, including children.
Since this is our first, and I think it is fairly hard, we may move the cache to a more amenable location (within a hundred yards of its current location) if it turns out to be a problem.
There are two recommended waypoints to getting to the cache. The third, and seeming easiest and most convenient, is NOT recommended due to at least one local resident who is prone to calling the city constabulary. Avoid Malachi Drive!
Johns' Road, while not in the nicest neighborhood, might be the best place. That waypoint puts you pretty close to the cache without needing an off-road vehicle; the ditch (Swift creek) is easy enough to cross on a dry day and the brush on the other side is not as problematic as we first thought. Do be careful and stay away from the ditch, though, as it gets dangerously steep and deep as you get closer to the cache coordinates!
Congratulations to Prodigy829 for his very first First To Find of our very first First To Hide!!! (Incidentally, his competition was three very experienced teams of veterans... great job!!)
