Dieser Multi führt euch entlang des Katsdorfer Panoramawegs K5. Der Name
des Weges ist Programm, einige schöne Aussichten auf die umliegenden Ortschaften
entlohnen für die Mühen.
Es handelt sich um eine ungefäher 3-stündige Rundwanderung von ca. 9 km Länge. Die
Beschaffenheit des Weges reicht von Asphalt über Schotter bis zu Trampelpfaden.
Der Weg ist unserer Einschätzung nach nicht Kinderwagen tauglich (muss jedoch
gesagt werden, dass wir dbzgl. keinerlei Erfahrung haben). Geparkt werden
kann bei den Startkoordinaten.
This multi cache is leading along the Katsdorf "Panoramaweg K5". Some really
nice scenic views will reward you for the efforts of hiking.
It is a 3 hour hike on a 9 km trail, the start point is also the end point.
In our opinion the trail is not suitable for a stroller (but we do not have any
experiences). You can park at the start coordinates.
Since some of the signs you have to find along the way are in German only, it might be
difficult to find the solutions. If you are unsure, pls. write a mail, we will
provide you extra hints.
Startpunkt / Start (N1 48° 19.090 E1 14° 28.379):

Gestartet wird am Katsdorfer Ortsplatz mit einer
einfachen Aufgabe zum Aufwärmen. Aus wie vielen Steinen besteht der Brunnen am
Ortsplatz (A)?
You start at the Katsdorf "city" center. Something easy for warm-up, count
the stones that build the fountain (A)
Station 1 / Stage 1:

N2 = N1 - 14*A
E2 = E1 + 125*A + 1
Hier trefft ihr auf einen für die Gegend bedeutenden Fluss.
Als es noch keine Brücken gab, wie weit hatte man es einst von hier noch bis
man den Fluss überqueren konnte (B)?
Here you see a river which is quite important for the region.
In former days there were no bridges here. How many meters did you have to
go in these days, if you wanted to cross the river (B)?
Station 2 / Stage 2:

N3 = N2 + A*B + 20*A + B/100
E3 = E2 + A*B + B - 1
Peilt von hier zum Kirchturm von Katsdorf, rundet auf 10 auf oder ab (C).
Ein Zehntel des Ergebnisses ist durch alle Primzahlen kleiner 5 teilbar.
Bear to the church of Katsdorf and round off to ten (C). A tenth of the
result can be dived by all prime numbers smaller than 5.
Station 3 / Stage 3:

E4 = E3 + B + C + (C/10)*2 - A - 1

How many kV are in the power supply line above your head (D)?
Station 4 / Stage 4:

N5 = N4 - D*A + C/A - A*A
E5 = E4 + A + A*C + B + A + D
Sucht denjenigen, der sich hier mit grünem Haarschmuck ziert. Bildet die Summe (E)
nach bekanntem Schema (A=1, B=2, ...).
Look out for the one that is grace with green hair decoration. Calculate the sum (E)
using the well-known mechanism (A=1, B=2, ...).
Station 5 / Stage 5:

N6 = N5 - 4*E - 17
E6 = E5 + D + E + C/10
In einer kleinen Höhle hat sich hier ein Tier vor euch versteckt. Findet es und
benennt die Gattung. Bildet die Summe (F) wie bei Station 4. Gebt dem armen Tier aber
bitte wieder die Chance, sich vor den Nächsten genau so gut zu verstecken.
Search a small cave where an animal is hiding. What kind of animal is it? Calculate like
in stage 4. If you use the German word the sum is F, if you use the English word the
sum is F1 and F = 2*F1 - 5. Please hide the animal as good as you can.
Cache / Final:
Am Weg zum Cache kommt ihr bei einer Labstation vorbei. Wer will kann sich hier stärken,
vom Cache zum Ausgangspunkt ist es noch ein gutes Stück (ca. 1 Stunde).
Now you are right on the way to the cache. You will pass a food station where you can
brace yourself for the stash hunt and the way back. It is still a while to go after
you found the cache (about 1 hour).
N7 = N6 - 4*F
E7 = E6 - 2*C - F + 1
Nähert euch dem Cache von Süden her an. So ist die Gefahr das ihr beobachtet werdet
geringer. Bei Regen und Nässe bitte beim Final aufpassen, es könnte rutschig sein.
Approach the cache from south to increase your stealth factor. Pls. be careful at the final
location on rainy or
wet days, it might be slippery.

Hinweis: Der Panoramaweg wird am 22. Juni 2008 offiziell eröffnet. An diesem Tag
findet eine organisierte Bewanderung statt. Solltet ihr euch an diesem Tag aufmachen
seid bitte besonders vorsichtig, daß euch bei Station 4 und beim Heben des Caches
keiner beobachtet.
Note: This trail will be officially opened on June 22nd 2008. An organised hiking
tour will take place at this date. So if you go for the cache on the opening day
please pay extra attention on your stealth factor.
