Geocache Description:


Imperani Mountain looks out over the Meulspruit Dam and the Maluti Mountains in the far off distance. A beutiful spot for a picnic if you have been driving all day.

Just down the road is Ficksburg, pop 6000 + 1 horse on a good day. There are some lovely B&B's and coffee shops and now even boast a Mr Price and Musica.

Ficksburg hosts the annual Cherry Festival in November which draws crowds from all over the world.

The cache is hidden near the top of the mountain and the road goes all the way up so you dont have to climb the mountain if you dont want to.

Take the Meulsruit Dam turn-off from the R26 @ S28 53.536 E027 51.096. Follow the concrete road to the right at S28 53.547 E027 50.863 over the railway line. Drive to the gate at S28 52.828 E027 50.682 and you can stop there and walk to the cache. if the gate is open, you can get a bit closer.

Please note that the road is rather narrow and turning will require a bit of skill.
